Jonathon Updates

Status of Jonathon Sangrey

Great News from Hershey!

Jonathan had a full day of testing today at Hershey Medical Center.  He is home resting.  The doctors have given him some medication that has reduced the swelling and pain.

Today’s MRI confirmed what his prior CAT scan showed.  Jonathan has a tumor in the 4th ventricle of his brain.  This is the part of the brain that affects balance.  The doctors are “pretty sure” it is not cancerous!

The tumor has not affected the brain stem — great news!

Surgery is tentatively scheduled for this Friday, September 15th at 7:00 am. at Hershey.  Surgeons will biopsy before they remove the tumor and biopsy it throughout the procedure.  Those tests will be sent to the lab.

Last night as I was looking through photo’s I was struck by something I saw – the courage and strength that you have had since you were very young. From conquering the fears of being a Snake Charmer(do you remember that? – that hat might look good!! lol) to being a member of the 1,000 lb. club you have shown the courage and strength that will serve you well today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family today and will continue as you make your recovery!! Hope to see you real soon! Love, Terri, David & Ryan
